ARC FLASH SAFETY TRAINING  

This training class is designed for personnel who must work on energized circuits. It reviews the safety procedures and equipment specified in NFPA 70E-2012, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, where the work must be performed on energized electrical equipment. The safe working distances and protective clothing required to protect the worker are covered.

NOTE: It is not the intent of this course to cover detailed reutine electrical safety requirements covered in NFPA 70E-2012.

This class is approved by the Virginia Board for Contractors as Electrical Continuing Education for ther purposes of license renewal.

The course covers:

  • Appropiate sections of NFPA 70E-2012 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.332

  • Arc Flash/Blast Hazards
  • Overview of basic electrical safety
  • Emergency procedures
  • Limitations of arc-flash protective clothing
  • Safe working distances

License Renewal Credit: Trainees have their licnese number and must be able to achieve at least an 80% score on the course test for license renewal.

Length: This class normally last 4 hours

Location: We will come to you and provide the training at a location that is convenient to your employees.

Cost
: $80.00 per trainee - Discounts are offered for classes of more than 10
