OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety 

This class is intended for your employees who have some safety responsibility.  Upon completion of the course, the student will receive an OSHA construction safety and health 30-hour course card.  To receive the Course Completion Card each student must attend all training sessions. This course does not qualify anyone to conduct training classes. 

The following topics are covered:

  • Introduction to OSHA Standards

  • Electrical Safety

  • Fall Protection

  • Occupational Health and Environmental Controls with emphasis on Hazard Communication

  • Health Hazards in Construction

  • Fire Protection and Prevention

  • Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment

  • Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal

  • Tools - Hand and Power

  • Scaffolds

  • Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators and Conveyors

  • Excavations

  • Stairways and Ladders

  • Confined Space Entry

  • Concrete and Masonry Construction

  • Welding and Cutting

  • Motor Vehicles, Mechanized Equipment and Marine Operations; Rollover Protective Structures and Overhead Protection,; and Signs, Signals and Barricades

Please note that this training does not satisfy the subject specific training required by the various OSHA standards.

Length: The course must have at least 30 hours of actual classroom time, not including breaks and lunch.  It may be broken up into segments of not less than 1 hour provided the 30 hours are completed within 6 months, however 7 1/2 hours is the maximum hours of training allowed in one day.

: We will come to you and provide the training at a location that is convenient to your employees.
